Tatted

Sketched memory into skin
Blending to original design
A creeping vine that cuts across hearts
Ghetto art that speaks philosophy, honesty, and life lived
Kids born, loves lost, and eulogies to the dead
Spread on arms, chests, legs, and backs
Black ink billboards stored on tender flesh
Caressed by temporary thoughts of indelible sentiment
And even though I am not etched, I will spend my life inked
Blinking tattooed tears of loss
Costing dollar signs and R.I.P.s
Decrees of my ideologies
Freedom to be the painter of electronic scripture and verse
A church for the artistically inclined
Minds stained with piercing poetic pictures
Pin pricks of elixir delivered to your brain
Draining through your pores
See I am more than just a poet
I am a tattoo artist harvesting human canvas for my spills
Stay still so I can make my mark and spark a revolution
